Medicare Savings Program (and extra help)
Counselors are on site to help beneficences apply for assistance with Medicare and prescription drug cost.
If you or someone you know is on Medicare and has a monthly income between $1,720 - $2,116 (or $2,309 - $2,843 if married) you may qualify for assistance.
MSP pays for the part B premium of $170 (for most people). At its highest level of qualification, it also pays most of your medical deductibles and co-pays. Yes, you may be eligible to keep that $170 each month!
Counselors can also help you apply for the Extra Help for Drugs program. Generally, if you qualify for the Medicare Savings Program, you also qualify for a federal program that reduces the drug copays in your Part D (prescription drug) program.
