Volunteering

Volunteers are an integral component of a non-profit organization, offering their time, skills, and passion to further the reach and effectiveness of a mission. When an organization relies on limited funding and donations, such as Council on Aging, these volunteers provide crucial labor capacity, knowledge, and expertise, which would otherwise be unattainable. While there is an undeniable benefit to the organization, it is our goal to bring a rewarding experience to our volunteers, establishing a venue in which their philanthropic goals can achieve the greatest community impact.

Our volunteer opportunities include:

  • Event support

  • Fitness class instructors (low-impact aerobics, dance, strength, chair, yoga, tai chi)

  • Technology class instructors (e.g., Facebook, email, Zoom)

  • Art class instructors (e.g., painting, crochet, quilt making, pottery, woodworking)

  • Career coaching (resumes and interview techniques)
