Dear friends,
Since Halloween (which by now you must have heard, was our Agency’s 45th Anniversary), we have so much to be thankful for. We had our first ever Radio Fundraiser and, thanks to our donors and sponsors, we raised funds that will allow us to provide services to many more of our clients.
I’m thankful for my personal family while I was not able to see them as much this past year, but I know they are taking the right precautions to stay safe. I’m also thankful for my work family who are committed to making sure that we all stay safe, that the daily items get done when needed, and that the new software for both of our Transportation and In Home departments gets installed over the next few months. Our Team always seems to step up to the challenge to stay committed and focused.
This time of year, we get to see how our Agency’s work and mission are so vital to all of our Elkhart aging and disabled clients. Most don’t have family nearby and others have such an issue getting around because it’s just painful for them, but all reminisce the holidays of the past. We work a little extra to make sure they enjoy the time when we are there, whether it’s taking them to a medical appointment or making meals for them, we try to bring the holiday cheer with us while we are there.
I could go on about Thanksgiving, but you must complete your shopping list and bring down those holiday dishes from the top of the kitchen cabinet!
On behalf of our Team, our volunteers and our Board we wish you the best Thanksgiving and are grateful for your support!
Happy Thanksgiving,
David M. Toney, CEO
